Abstract
Problem statement. The rapid growth of data traffic and the increasing complexity of telecommunication networks necessitate a transition to modern management approaches focused on enhancing autonomy and reducing human involvement. Traditional network management tools have a number of limitations that reduce their effectiveness within these new paradigms. Digital twins are considered one of the most promising tools for implementing modern network management concepts. The purpose of this study is to analyze the possibilities of applying digital twins in contemporary approaches to telecommunication network management. Methods. The research is based on the analysis of international standards and recommendations, as well as the generalization of recent scientific publications on digital twins of telecommunication networks. Results. The main results include a summary of the architecture of a network digital twin and its key components. It is shown that the use of digital twins enables the creation of a comprehensive virtual representation of the network, supports predictive analytics, implements closed-loop automation, and allows safe testing of configuration changes. Theoretical relevance. The theoretical significance of the work lies in substantiating the role of the network digital twin as a tool for implementing modern telecommunication network management approaches and in systematizing the key components and architectural principles of its construction.
